Registered Veterinary Nurse

I’m Kerri and I have been nursing since 2014. I started out as an Animal Nursing Assistant (ANA) and progressed to Head Nurse at my previous practice.

I moved to STAR Vets in May 2021 and have loved every minute of it. I love all aspects of my job, but I do especially enjoy consults as I get to build up a relationship with our clients and their pets.

I have three dogs, three rabbits and two guinea pigs. In my spare time I like reading, going to gigs, and watching wrestling.

Registered Veterinary Nurse

I have been a qualified veterinary nurse since 2006 and have always enjoyed working with animals. I particularly enjoy helping in theatre, anaesthetics, and looking after the patients in recovery following their surgery or illness.

Outside of work I am kept very busy by my three children, three cats and one very cute lurcher puppy.

Jelisa Hawksworth RVN

Registered Veterinary Nurse

I’m a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) at STAR Vets. I qualified in 2019 and have been in practice since 2015. Every day is different, and I love the variety of patients and cases we see. Within my many roles as a nurse, I have a great interest in nutrition, rehabilitation, in-patient care, and laboratory work.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my animals, exercising, and going for long muddy walks with my family.

I have a small menagerie at home that consists of a cat called Thomas, and four rabbits called Micky, Daisy, Miffy and Thumper. In true nurse fashion, Miffy does require special care as she only has three legs, but that definitely doesn’t stop her. I also have two guinea pigs called Mable and George, and a crested gecko called Toothless.

Lara Bettaney RVN

Head Veterinary Nurse

Hi, I’m Lara! I’ve been working in veterinary practice since 2010 and joined the STAR Vets team in 2018. Since graduation, I have undertaken further training in canine behaviour, rehabilitation, dentistry, and rabbit medicine.

My main roles at STAR Vets include supervising and supporting the team of RVN’s and assistants, anaesthetic monitoring, and conducting nurse health clinics. I’m also a qualified clinical coach, which means I get to mentor our students.

Outside of work I am obsessed with my 15-year-old dog, DeNiro. I also live with two free-run house rabbits and a goldfish who was left to me in a will! I am now expecting my first human child and I should mention that I also have a husband.

Hannah Jarvis RVN

Registered Veterinary Nurse

I’ve been in practice since 2016 and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2020. I have a keen interest in dentistry and nurse clinics. I absolutely love the different caseloads each day brings and meeting new clients.

At home, I have two cats and a dog who are all very cheeky, but wouldn’t be without them!
